A graduate of the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry, Dr. Brecke has been improving smiles in Newberg since 1996. He is a member of the American Dental Association, Oregon Dental Association, and Alpha Omega Study Club of Yamhill County.
In his spare time, Dr. Brecke enjoys skiing, hiking, running, and working on the “honey do” list his wife creates while he is at work.
Dr. Gutnik graduated from Oregon Health & Science University School of Dentistry in 2017. Originally from South Dakota, Dr. Gutnik received his Bachelor of Arts from Concordia College – Moorhead, MN. He is a member of the American Dental Association, Oregon Dental Association, Delta Sigma Delta Fraternity, and Multnomah Dental Society. The addition of Dr. Gutnik will allow us to accommodate more appointments that are more convenient for your schedule!
When not working, Dr. Gutnik spends his time exploring different areas of the Pacific Northwest, continuing studies in violin performance, and exploring the food scene of Portland.
Christie graduated in 1983 from the Oregon Institute of Technology. She has worked in Newberg since 1986 and raised both of her sons here.
Christie splits her time between working at Dr. Brecke’s office, her husband’s engineering firm, and quilting.
Amanda graduated from PCC in 2012 and enjoys the opportunity to meet so many wonderful patients through hygiene.
She and her husband, Chris, have two young children. Amanda enjoys reading, cooking, refurbishing, and quilting.
Hannah recently graduated from the Oregon Institute of Technology. She was raised in Salem, but is excited to be a part of the wonderful community in Newberg.
Aside from working at Dr. Brecke’s office, Hannah enjoys spending time with her husband, listening to music, and spending time outdoors, as well as going to the beach.
Heather graduated as an Expanded Practice Dental Hygienist from Oregon Tech in 2016. She strives to ensure exceptional patient care through preventive education for her patients.
She grew up in Carlton, OR and enjoys putting on dirt bike races with her family throughout Yamhill County. In her spare time, Heather also enjoys riding her horse, painting, and fishing.
Shelley has enjoyed working Fridays for Dr. Brecke and his patients since 2003. Prior to living in Newberg, Shelley lived in Haiti for four years as a Christian Missionary. She has helped people all over the world with dental care, and has been involved in children's ministry for several years. Although Shelley doesn’t have children of her own, she has been blessed with some amazing young people in her life. She also loves her gray kitten named Estee and golden retriever named Hannah. Shelley is a skilled photographer; so you just might see her taking pictures of the beautiful valley we live in. Shelley also loves hiking and spending time with her friends and family.
